We’re a couple of Australians who, after 20 years of organising school runs, weekend sports, and life around a spreadsheet, finally found ourselves with a rare gift: time.

When our kids finished school, so did the schedules. No more timetables. No more planning how we can make it to three different sporting games, at three different venues, at the same time. 

 

It felt like the right moment to do something we'd long talked about: to travel simply, freely, without too much planning.

We packed our bikes, packed our bags with the bare minimum and set off to ride through France. No strict itinerary. No rigid plans. Just the open road and the kind of travel that reminded us of why we fell in love with exploring in the first place.

This trip isn't about racing to a finish line or how far we travel. It's about slow days, small surprises, and feeling free again.
